Snuggled on the hillside on the edge of a small hamlet on the borders of the Aveyron region, Midi Pyrenees, the property enjoys wonderful views to the open countryside surrounding it and provides a beautiful, tranquil setting (with no immediate neighbours ~ except that is, for the cows in the field adjacent (who may occasionally peek their noses through the bushes to watch) and the local farmer and his wife who are utterly charming, very friendly and speak more English than you think they do....)

Yet  you are not isolated; being within each reach of  local amenities ... (15 mins by car to town of Laguepie with shops, bars, restaurants etc.  In addition, many tourist attractions in the vicinity i.e. Najac (just 4 miles away) with its impressive castle ruins, bars, restaurants.

SPORTING ACTIVITIES (kayaking, horse riding, rock climbing, etc.) are found at Najac & St. Antonin Noble Val (25 mins by car). In the vicinity are other delightful medieval villages/towns with speciality shops, fetes and night markets. 

There is an excellent golf course in Albi, the town where Toulouse Lautrec was born and with its world famous cathedral, where the red stone walls of the buildings see as much sun as they do in Nice.

 

PROPERTY

For the periods when the Main House & Guest House can be rented INDEPENDANTLY (i.e outside the months of July & August), on a shared pool basis,

SOLE USE of pool & gardens can be secured by payment of a small supplement (£ 200/week).

have been restored to an extremely high standard, and present light, spacious rooms with a beautiful colour scheme.

Extremely well equipped & comfortable throughout (6' cherry wood antique 'bateau lit' beds with high quality mattresses throughout - ever important for a GOOD NIGHT'S SLEEP).

Beautiful solid oak doors, many original character features & books for your use wherever you go.

There is a private lawn section directly in front of the Main house, with BBQ and solid circular table /chairs for external dining offering complete privacy.

There are also large gardens set to the other side.

GUEST HOUSE : 2 large bedrooms (sleeps 4)

The Mediterranean inner courtyard seperates these 2 properties in this charming hideaway.

Bed I : Antique King size ‘sleigh’ double bed

Bed II : 2 single solid~wood beds which can be arranged as a double or 2 twins as required.

Leading from this bedroom is the door to the upper terrace which overlooks the gardens, playhouse and offers views to the hills beyond, and is furnished garden table & chairs plus BBQ, offering a private outdoor dining area.

Just off the charming mediterranean inner courtyard is the

POOL : 9m x 5m, with roman steps, walled and GATED for child security & poolside loggia.

The gardens surround the property and offer complete privacy, giving the opportunity to relax by the pool or to take a quiet stroll down the country lane to the adjoining hamlet.
