Wonderful location within the HISTORIC QUARTER of this medieval town : St. Antonin Noble Val, this beautifully restored 15th / 16th century town house has many of the impressive, original features retained.

Seconds away from the Palais Prevotal, (the oldest civil building in Europe), the house is snuggled away in one of the cobbled streets just off the main square. Bars, restaurants, shops, small local boutiques just metres away. There is also a Bank / Post Office / 3 supermarkets of good size / chemist / garages with petrol pumps & a wonderful little cinema (often showing the latest films in English).

The Sunday morning market is a great attraction and people come from miles around to see the colourful stalls selling fruit, veg, breads, pates, cheeses, local cuisine ~ all right on your doorstep. There are also Summer Night markets held in the town, which are particularly appealing on a hot summers evening.

The public OPEN AIR, HEATED swimming pool (June ~ mid/end Sept) is just 100m+ away, together with a great range of sporting activities in the town & nearby surrounding area. Tennis, VTT hire, horse riding, mountain climbing, zip wire, etc., and of course kayaking down the Aveyron Gorge from St. Antonin Noble Val.

We spent two weeks at this property in summer 2019. The house has been beautifully renovated and is light and airy, with a large terrace overlooking a shady unpaved square. All home comforts are provided, including fans in the bedrooms, and even in hot weather it is noticeably cool as you go through the door; the walls are about 50cm thick! It is in the centre of St Antonin Noble Val, but not at all noisy as there are no cars in that area, just narrow alleys between the medieval houses. St Antonin is a gem, with a picturesque central square which is great for coffee and people-watching; lots of restaurants, bakeries etc. and a large Sunday market, all within five minutes' walk. We didn't cook once! We visited lots of interesting small towns and villages, and tasted wine at several vineyards near Gaillac. But the best times were just sitting on the terrace in the dusk, watching the swallows, then the bats, and finally the stars.

We very much enjoyed our week staying at this lovely house. it has been very tastefully renovated with excellent materials and design, to create an airy, relaxing and beautiful property. Whilst in the heart of St Antonin, it is not noisy, and enjoys a large open but private terrace. It is a very short walk from the fantastic open air public swimming pool, and from a number of excellent restaurants and cafes

A fabulous stay ..

We rented Le Cluzel for our annual summer family holiday. It was quite simply amazing. The house has been lovingly renovated to incorporate many wonderful original features, alongside modern facilities to make living here so easy. The spacious, part covered terrace area is sublime. You can watch the swallows and bats soaring among the rooftops, whilst enjoying a glass of wine and a BBQ. The house is situated in the heart of the medieval town of St Antonin Noble Val. Accessed via cobbled narrow streets, it is magical. The town has wonderful bakeries and restaurants; as well as a renowned Sunday morning market when you can buy delicious fresh food and treats. We had a fabulous holiday and look forward to returning.

5 / 5 STARS

We have been coming to St Antonin Noble Val for more than a decade and Le Cluzel has become our home away from home.
For a stay in the heart of this delightful medieval (and car-free) village Le Cluzel is unequalled for its location, elegance, comfort and space. Many of our evenings are spent on the large terrace with its table-for-eight and views over tiled rooftops and wooded hills; mornings we are one minute's walk to fresh patisseries and grande cremes at the Cafe de la Halle in the peaceful, jolly central Place....
The owners' good taste is reflected not only in Cluzel's antiques, art and architecture but in their excellent staff - Jayne, the administrator and Sally, the local manager could not be more helpful and accommodating.
We have tried a number of homes in the area over the years, but Cluzel remains absolutely our first choice.
